 Elements of Design 2



The element of light could set the mood, define more of the space's color, and showcase the detail of the texture. Line light has four different categories: task lighting, ambient lighting, accent lighting, and mood lighting.



Colors have great importance when it comes to the elements of design since colors give out and effect of mood like how green makes us think about the forest and give a calm mood and their are many theories Complimentary colors, Warm vs. cool colors, Shades and tints of colors, Achromatic colors, Split complimentary colors and Color Harmony most common known theories as warm vs cold colors and complimentary colors that we learn in school.

Something that many people can see at their home is texture tactlie that people use to give their home a different feel to a object or surface like the tiles that people put in the kitchen and bathroom tje is some texture that give out an illusion or make a space seem bigger or smaller depending on the style or desing of the tile.

    Irma,
    I appreciate your Blog entry this week. You covered some of the basic elements that we looked at. To receive full credit you would need to cover all elements and give more more detail to each topic. For instance you could have provided us with images and descriptions of the various types of lighting. There was also a possibility of showcasing interiors that are monochromatic, adjacent...I also noticed spelling mistakes this week. Your sketch was very basic- it might have been better to sketch an interior scene like a living room that included furniture and accessories.

Principles of design part 2      This week we talk about the different set of principles of design rhythm to transition and emphasis and what effects they have in interior design.   Container  These five images up top are concept ideas of what I want to do for my container project: an interior that is accessible for people with disabilities with a library and surrounded with nature and cabin-like with a fireplace inside since the location of where the container home is Wisconsin. It gets cold sometimes, and a fireplace would be a nice addition to give the container a cozy and peaceful presence, which I am looking for in my project. Sketch
