Colors Culture How colors affect cultures in many ways each colors have different meanings in different countries belief or religion or how they are seen by different generation or era of a specific time frame that our taste in color changes over time as we all get older as a child most are drawn to bright colors but to much of it can overwhelm our sense and later on most of us start to lean to less bright colors to more neutral than back to some bright colors the way that people look at colors it almost seems like a roller coaster and most of us associated colors to things that we like for example a certain sports team or bands  or for big announcements like in the gender or at times we can associate colors to a certain time era like in my last post that I mention the 60s but during certain era like the 2008 the housing crisis and the 2020 the Global pandemic were two of the eras that brought back the neutral colors. colors can also be associated with some ethnicities can v...

Colors

Colors This week, we discuss colors and their effects on people over the years, including their effects on interiors. Colors can all have different values connected to a primary color like red, yellow, and blue.  This chart shows us the various values from lightest to darkest of each color. Saturation, or Chroma, is when colors are bright or clear. This happens when colors are highly saturated. When colors have less saturation, they become soft and dusty.  Light also plays a part in colors since it can give the color a different effect, which is something an interior designer must keep in mind since some colors can look great under the light or with little like while may not this effect is called metamerism and it is essential to keep in mind when choosing color for an interior space, These photos show the effect of metamerism. Color's effect in today's culture is grand; the rainbow is now mainly used for gender representation, and we can relate the colors to a particula...

principles of design

Image
Principles of Design The principles of design are balance, symmetry, asymmetry, and radial symmetry. There is also unity, harmony, rhythm, repetition, gradation, contrast, transition, and radiation. Balance Balance helps give an interior a sense of equilibrium and ensures that the inside does not seem overwhelming. symmetry   Symmetry is like having a mirror in front of you, with the two sides looking the same. It is best used in formal spaces, as using it too much in homes would make the space seem smaller. Asymmetry  Asymmetry gives an interior a sense of openness. It is excellent for living rooms and kitchens, where people spend more time. Radial symmetry  Sketch

Elements of design 2

Elements of Design 2 The element of light could set the mood, define more of the space's color, and showcase the detail of the texture. Line light has four different categories: task lighting, ambient lighting, accent lighting, and mood lighting. Colors have great importance when it comes to the elements of design since colors give out and effect of mood like how green makes us think about the forest and give a calm mood and their are many theories  Complimentary colors,  Warm vs. cool colors,  Shades and tints of colors,  Achromatic colors,  Split complimentary colors and  Color Harmony most common known theories as warm vs cold colors and complimentary colors that we learn in school. colors warm vs cold complimentary color wheel Something that many people can see at their home is texture tactlie that people use to give their home a different feel to a object or surface like the tiles that people put in the kitchen and bathroom tje is some texture t...
